Activities for Fall

Welcome fall!  Well, almost. It’s my favorite season, and has been for as long as I can remember. I grew up in New England, and honestly there is nothing like a New England autumn in the mountains. The colors are so vivid. Bright yellows, bright reds, dark maroons, orange in every shade. Raking leaves wasn’t my favorite activity, but the reward of jumping in the big pile with my siblings was worth it.

Below is a picture I took just walking down a sidewalk when I was in New Hampshire – a small town I visited a lot growing up. See what I mean? That lawn is literally a carpet of color and that tree…wow.

At my house, the fall decor comes out the first weekend in September. I add Halloween once October hits, and pieces that celebrate blessings and family will remain out until Thanksgiving.  As fall approaches, I’m flipping through Pinterest looking for DIY projects to make regardless of the fact that I don’t think I can fit another tote of fall decor in my storage room!

As a mom, planning fun fall activities with the kids has been a highlight for me every year. From pumpkin patches to fall festivals to scavenger hunts and apple picking. When we jump in the car for a fall adventure, we have a tradition of packing the latest fall flavored Oreos, and as my boys have gotten older, we basically crush the entire box in a few hours.

Fall Bucket Lists

Creating my fall family activity printables was basically so much fun. The only problem was wanting to start using them mid-summer when I was setting them up.  I designed two fall printable packs. Check out all the fun printables included in the fall family activity packs.

There is a family bucket list of ideas for fall activities, a bucket list of fall photos to take and a bucket list of fall activities for adults.  Whether you have family nearby or a sitter to watch the kids, or if your kids are old enough to stay home as mine now are, taking the time to go out with a group of friends or going on a date “afternoon” on a beautiful fall day is another fabulous way to spend an autumn day.

Fall Activity Sheets

You also get fall theme BINGO sheets and of course, a word scramble! My family knows I love a good word scramble and we turn it into a competition during the holidays. There is an outdoor scavenger hunt list as well.  Gotta take it outside for fall, right?

Fall Wall Art Printables

Each bundle has two fall art printables.  Seasonal printables are fun additions to your season décor.

Fall Recipe Cards

You’ll receive a couple of fall recipes to try as well as cute blank recipe cards to add your own favorite fall meal recipes. I love the idea of using the recipe cards in a fall gift basket.  Or, print out the two recipes along with a bunch of blank cards.  Cut them out and stack them.  Then add a craft ribbon to the top and one of my free fall gift tags found on the resource page.  You have a fabulous fall gift for a hostess, a friend or neighbor.

Printable You’ve Been Booed Poem

You will also receive printables for starting the neighborhood “You’ve Been Booed” game, including an original poem that I wrote for the rules sheet.

I’ve been busy adding lots of new seasonal designs so be sure to see what else is available when you head on over to grab your Family Fall Activity Printables.

Don’t forget the free resource page

I add new freebies every month so be sure to click over to see what’s new there as well. I hope you soak in the season and find something good in every day.
